The invention of artificial turf was first applied on sports field, but it caused some serious injuries to players, as it was a relatively new invention with a surface made from synthetic products, thus causing abrasions and injuries to players, in intensive field games. Some sports teams also banned the use of artificial turfs, later though through the passage of time, the turfs were remodeled, and was made smoother, skin friendly and exact replicates of real grass, so players could feel no difference between real grass and synthetic fibers. These fields also contained shock pads that would help the players to smooth fall and glide through. It was the best fit for games like football, hockey, baseball etc.
